It has been a while since we mentioned anything about the Naughty Dog Development of The Last of Us, mainly because there really hasn’t been anything. It’s been a little over 5 months since it was officially announced and still not a single gameplay trailer, either. In case you forgot the story will revolve around a post-apocalyptic America that was ravaged and destroyed after the release of a fungi-based plague. You play as a world hardened man named Joel, who’s given the courier job of safely transporting a 14 year old girl named Ellie across the United States for yet unknown reasons. Enemies will include bandits and yet to be revealed plague infected enemies. Survival is key, as Joel and Ellie will have to scavenge, navigate and fight their way through the wildlife retaken urban jungles of the eastern U.S. If this game is anywhere as awesome as Naughty Dog’s Uncharted series, then they have a definite heavy hitter coming to the tables and with rumors of a part 2 already on the drawing boards, you can see that Naughty Dog is planning for this to be a huge and future worthy success!
