2k Game’s Borderlands 2 is a highly anticipated game for good reason, but believe it or not, they’ve recently managed to up the ante even more (I know, you though I was gonna say something bad). During 2k’s presentation at P.A.X 2012 (Penny Arcade Expo) they announced a 5th playable Class, the Mechromancer! The Mechromancer is a female whose main ability, named “Digistruck”, allows her to summon a “Deathtrap”. The Deathtrap is the Godzilla of Claptraps; it’s….well a giant Claptrap with guns and explosives and to be frank, who doesn’t love a giant robot with guns and explosives? What’s awesome too is that, like all Borderland abilities, it’ll be a customizable to the player’s choosing. Give your Deathtrap more health so it will last longer in battle or give it a grenade launcher and make it particularly nasty. The biggest difference between this class and all the others though is its availability. The Mechromancer will first be a pre-order bonus with the game and then, shortly after, will become priced DLC. Borderlands 2 will be released on September 18th, but until then enjoy this PAX interview about the Mechromancer and some other stuff recently disclosed about the game (also Morgan Webb is in it……my god she’s hot).
