Nintendo has been around longer then I’ve been on this earth so of course they are the only one of the big three (Xbox, PS3, Nintendo) with the age to push out anniversary editions that can actually be considered anniversary material. Most of the true Nintendo heavy hitters have gotten an anniversary edition (Mario, The Legend of Zelda), so it is no surprise that the one and only pink gumball blowfish thingy himself Kirby (really what the hell is he anyway?), is next on the list. There have been over 20 games made in the Kirby series to date, so Nintendo has a lot of material to chose from when it finally comes to down to what to cram into this baby! No word yet if this will only be available in Japan and/or North America, but the release of the anniversary editions of Mario and the Legend of Zelda in North America are a big help in this unknown. Kirby Super Star was my favorite game on the SNES, so although I’m not a huge Wii player I’m honestly looking forward to see what’s up with this but until then please enjoy this fan made trailer celebrating and reminding us about the series that is Kirby!
