Crysis 1 and Crysis 2 were good games but none ever blew in away (except the rave dancing CELL solider Elevator Easter egg in Crysis 2). Call me crazy, but I just couldn’t get into it. Well, from what I’ve seen in the new trailer for Crysis 3, its beauty alone is worth the buck. The game is set within a jungle covered Manhattan in the year 2047, 24 years after its predecessor. E.A (Electronic Arts) seems to be pushing toward the whole “lone silent predator” pitch, but at the same time showing that the player will still have to bring the noise every now and then. The new collapsible Power Bow weapon looks amazing, and it better be with the remnants of the alien Ceph still around, but with new weapons and tricks up their mechanical sleeves. I know I mentioned its beauty earlier, but it’s worth mentioning again: It looks freaking gorgeous! So gorgeous in fact that I’m hoping this isn’t E.A pulling the wool over our eyes by saying its gameplay when it’s actually a “gameplay target” trailer like Ubisoft’s new Rainbow Six trailer.
